On Friday, August 4, 2023, at 12:32 a.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Jurupa Valley Station, responded to the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Bellegrave Avenue in the city of Jurupa Valley regarding a traffic collision involving a vehicle versus pedestrian. Deputies and Cal Fire arrived within minutes and located a vehicle that collided into the victim. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Cal Fire. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Jurupa Valley Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
