[ARCHIVED] Homicide

Riverside County Sheriff-Press Release

Reporting Deputy: Sergeant Steve Brosche and Sergeant Jesse Martinez

File # Y222010053

Update:

Since the day of the homicide, investigators have been working diligently to identify the suspects involved in this murder. Earlier this year, investigators were able to identify one of the suspects as an 18-year-old Hispanic male from Coachella. However, at the time of the murder, he was a juvenile; therefore, his name will not be released. This suspect was arrested in February of 2023 and has been in custody since then.

As the investigation continued, homicide investigators, with the assistance of the Region 1-Gang Task Force, identified the second suspect as a 16-year-old Hispanic male juvenile out of the Coachella area. On October 24, 2023, the Gang Task Force located the juvenile suspect near the intersection of Harrison Street and 55th Avenue in Coachella and took him into custody without incident. He was taken to Juvenile Hall and booked on murder charges.
