Details:
On November 21, 2019 at 7:66 p.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputies assigned to the city of La Quinta, responded to report of a petty theft from a business in the 78900 block of Highway 111 in La Quinta. Reports received immediately after indicated the suspect of the theft, Abby Castellanos, 26 of Desert Hot Springs, fled the business and was struck by a passing vehicle. Castellanos was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the collision. Alcohol was not a factor in the collision. No other injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
