Riverside County Sheriff-Press Release

Reporting Deputy: Sergeant Jonathan Bodnar

File # EV233340020

Details:

On December 6, 2023, an armed robbery occurred at a bank located in the 14000 block of Schleisman Road, Eastvale. Riverside Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley Station investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Investigators later learned of a similar robbery that occurred on January 4, 2024, in the city of Chino Hills.

Jurupa Valley investigators contacted investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department (SBCSD) Chino Hills Station regarding the similar incidents. Based on the two investigations, SBCSD investigators identified the suspect as Aresh Narmaki, a 52-year-old resident of Chino Hills. SBCSD Specialized Enforcement Division personnel arrested Narmaki without incident at his residence in the city of Chino Hills.

Jurupa Valley investigators responded as SBCSD investigators served a search warrant in the 6300 block of Blossom Lane, Chino Hills. As a result of the search warrant, evidence related to both robberies was recovered.

Narmaki was subsequently booked into the West Valley Detention Center for armed robbery and has an additional charge of armed robbery being filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. The joint investigation between RSD and SBCSD yielded a positive result and prevented Narmaki from continuing his robbery spree.

Anyone with additional information regarding the investigation is urged to contact Investigator Medina at Riverside County Sheriff’s dispatch at (951) 776-1099 or the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station at (951) 955-2600 or Investigator Renear at San Bernardino Sheriff’s Dispatch at (909) 364-2000
