Details:

On January 20, 2024, at 03:07 p.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a call of a major-injury traffic collision on Mission Boulevard, west of Wineville Road in Jurupa Valley. Deputies located a vehicle versus a tree collision and the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation, which is ongoing. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role in this incident. The victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Mission Boulevard, between Wineville Road to Cornerstone Drive, in order to process the scene and collect evidence.
