On March 15, 2024, four drivers were arrested for suspected DUI during a DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint.

The DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint was held at Temecula Parkway and Temecula Creek from 07:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Eight drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license and 804 vehicles were contacted. 

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related incidents. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off the roads.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
