On Monday, April 8, 2024, about 3:01 PM, deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Sierra Avenue and Karen Lane, Jurupa Valley, regarding an abandoned vehicle in a ravine at the top of a hill. When deputies arrived, they discovered evidence of a collision and an unoccupied vehicle. Deputies searched the area and did not locate any other vehicles. Deputies did locate two males in a field who were unresponsive and with obvious signs of death. Both males were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision. The identity of both males will not be released at this time, pending notification to the next of kin.
