On January 13, 2020, at approximately 7:47 p.m. the Temecula Sheriff’s Station received multiple calls for service regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of Meadows Parkway and De Portola Road in the city of Temecula.  A description of the vehicle and license plate were obtained by deputies during the course of the investigation.  The deputies investigative efforts led them to identifying the male in possession of the vehicle as 39-year-old, Anthony Carreon of Temecula and who was currently on parole.  The vehicle was found in a parking lot of a motel located on the 41000 block of Moreno Road in Temecula.  Deputies contacted Carreon and 24-year-old, Chelci Nelson of Banning, in a room.  A search of the room revealed a useable quantity of a controlled substance and evidence consistent with producing identity theft, fictitious currency and credit cards.  Deputies verified Carreon used a fictitious name to lease the room where he and Nelson were contacted.  Carreon and Nelson were arrested and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on various charges.
