On Friday, March 6, 2020, the Southwest Sheriff’s Station hosted its first Quality of Life – Collaborative DUI Warrant Sweep and Saturation Patrol Operation.  The operation began at 6:00 PM and continued until 2:00 AM. During the operation over 60 law enforcement officers from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, San Jacinto, Moreno Valley, Perris, Lake Elsinore, Jurupa Valley, Eastvale,  Murrieta Police Department, the California Highway Patrol Temecula Station and the California Highway Patrol Investigative Services Unit – Border Division, worked together to apprehend suspects with outstanding DUI warrants and to saturate the city and surrounding county areas in an attempt to deter, detect and apprehend impaired drivers. 

This operation yielded the following results:

•    154 Arrest Warrant Services attempted

•    22 Arrest Warrants served

•    4 Miscellaneous on-view arrests 

•    12 DUI arrests 

•    38 Total arrests  

•    34 subjects booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center 

•    4 subjects cite released in the field

The Southwest Sheriff Station and the city of Temecula appreciates the cooperation, support and effort we received from each agency, sheriff stations and cities that dedicated resources to this operation.
