On Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 7:25 PM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the 5900 Block of Saguaro St. in Jurupa Valley reference an unresponsive female found inside of a residence.

Medical personnel arrived on scene and attempted life saving measures, unfortunately the female was pronounced deceased. Based on information obtained at the scene and medical personnel, the scene was secured and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent was identified as Niki Marie Mello, 26 years old of Jurupa Valley.
