On Thursday, June 11, 2020, about 10:43 PM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle versus a bicyclist, in the 9400 block of Mission Blvd., Jurupa Valley.

Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male victim on the north side of Mission Blvd. suffering from major injuries. He was treated on scene by Fire Department personnel and subsequently transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid to the victim, but instead fled the scene westbound on Mission Blvd. The vehicle is described as a white 2012-2018 Ford Focus sedan, which is now missing a passenger’s side – sideview mirror.    

On Tuesday, June 16, 2020, the Jurupa Valley Station’s Traffic Bureau was notified that the victim had succumbed to his injuries.

The Jurupa Valley Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team is conducting a full investigation to determine the cause of this collision and attempt to identify the suspect.
