On June 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, the Thermal Station Investigations Bureau, served a weapons related search warrant in the 79600 block of Vista Coralina, in the city of La Quinta. During the search warrant, 11 illegally possessed firearms were located and seized. Christopher Ramos, a 35-year-old resident of La Quinta was arrested and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center for possession of a machine gun, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a short barreled rifle, and felony child endangerment.
