On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 9:12 p.m., patrol deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to an armed robbery at a business in the 23000 block of Clinton Keith Road, Wildomar. Deputies arrived and discovered a white male adult wearing a mask demanded money from an employee while brandishing a firearm. The suspect ran to a vehicle parked nearby and fled at a high rate of speed. The investigation was assumed by the Lake Elsinore Station’s Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) and Special Enforcement Team (SET). RBST and SET were able to identify the suspects as 39-year-old Brandon Monroe and 45-year-old Joshua Morek, both from Hemet.
On Tuesday, April 3, 2024, RBST and SET deputies served two residential search warrants connected to the suspects. During the search warrant service, Monroe and Morek were taken into custody without incident, and additional evidence was located and subsequently seized. Brandon Monroe and Joshua Morek were transported to the Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked on charges of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information is available.
