During the month of June 2020, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station County Problem Oriented Policing Team investigated information regarding a possible illegal outdoor marijuana cultivation occurring within the unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore known as Lakeland Village .
On June 24, 2020, at the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, deputies served a search warrant in the 30000 block of Skylark Dr. The location was converted into an illegal indoor/outdoor marijuana cultivation site. Approximately 1,200 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and 30 pounds of processed marijuana plants were located during the service of the search warrant. An imitation firearm was also found on the property near one of the processing sites. County Code enforcement was notified of the location and will assume their investigation at a later time. There were numerous structures on the property and two of them were being utilized to process and dry the marijuana plants.
The property owner was identified as, Angela Bright (76 years old), and was arrested at the location. Angela Bright was transported to Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked into custody on the charge of marijuana cultivation.
