Details:
On Thursday, January 21, 2021, about 5:34 PM, deputies from Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station responded to a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of Perris Blvd. and San Jacinto Ave. in the city of Perris. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a collision involving a gray 2012 Nissan Sentra and an unidentified adult male pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and life saving measures were performed. The pedestrian was transported to the Riverside University Health Systems Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time. The driver of the Nissan Sentra was questioned at the scene and it did not appear alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision, the investigation is on-going.
The Perris Traffic Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation.
