On May 26, 2021, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Station Special Enforcement Team, served a search warrant in the 20600 block of Grand Avenue, in the city of Wildomar, reference an illegal marijuana grow.
During the service of the search warrant, a large-scale outdoor marijuana grow was located with approximately 3500 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, and several hundred pounds of processed marijuana. The estimated value of the plants was over one million dollars. Two suspects were arrested at the marijuana grow, Jacobo Hernandez, age 24, a resident of Bakersfield and Marcelo Velasquez, age 36, a resident of Bakersfield, and were booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on the charge of marijuana cultivation.
