On June 21, 2023, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office - Moreno Valley Station, hosted a multi-station traffic operation in the city of Moreno Valley. The operation ran from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Moreno Valley Sheriff Station Traffic Team organized the operation to help combat the growing number of major injury and fatal traffic collisions which occur in Moreno Valley. The goal of the operation was to educate motorists and residents of Moreno Valley and to help prevent traffic collisions. To complete this goal, high visibility enforcement was conducted throughout Moreno Valley.
Over 20 Motorcycle Enforcement, Commercial Enforcement, Accident Investigators and Community Service Officers deployed within Moreno Valley to conduct education and enforcement traffic stops. The results of the operation netted 1 DUI arrest, 1 felon in possession of ammunition arrest, 1 felony warrant arrest, 1 domestic violence arrest, 15 commercial citations, 27 parking citations, 117 vehicle code violations, and 1 towed vehicle.
The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station plans to continue these type of enforcement operations to help combat traffic collisions and to educate the motoring public that unsafe driving habits will not be tolerated. The goal is to reduce the number of collisions that not only impact Moreno Valley, but also the people involved in them.
