The Riverside Sheriff's Perris Station's Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) continued the investigation and collected additional evidence. Based on that evidence, RBST identified a second suspect, Luis Anthony Buenrrostro, a 38-year-old resident of Perris. On Friday, July 14, 2023, about 11:30 a.m., RBST contacted Buenrrostro at a residence in the 23000 Block of Placentia Avenue in Perris, where they took him into custody without incident. Buenrrostro was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for Burglary.

Details:

On July 5, 2023, about 7:35AM, the Riverside Sheriff’s Perris Station deputies responded to the 300 block of Mapes Road, in the city of Perris regarding a past burglary. The victim reported his business had been burglarized and numerous items were stolen overnight including a bobcat, a trailer, and numerous tools and equipment. The Perris Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation. With the help of the Menifee Police Department, a lead was developed and the stolen property was located at a residence in the 27000 block of Ethanac Road, in Menifee. The suspect Rigoberto Plasencia a 33-year-old resident of Romoland was arrested and later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on multiple felony charges including violation of his Post Release Community Supervision. RBST recovered over $50,000 in stolen property belonging to the victim and an additional $12,500 in Milwaukee tools that were stolen from Home Depot. This investigation is ongoing.
