On Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 6:26 a.m. deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a beer run and traffic collision in the area of Redlands Boulevard and Alessandro Boulevard in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies arrived quickly and located an injured pedestrian and the abandoned suspect vehicle.

Witnesses reported the suspects completed a beer run and, during their getaway, lost control of their vehicle and hit the pedestrian. Three suspects fled on foot into the residential neighborhood. A passenger, Jose Rios, a 20-year-old Moreno Valley resident, was arrested on outstanding warrants. Both were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center. The outstanding suspect who completed the beer run remains at large. He is described as a Hispanic 19-year-old male, last seen in a purple shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.
