Details:
Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station, conducted a Off Road Vehicle (ORV) Enforcement Saturation on May 22, 2021. The patrol targeted Off-Road Vehicles at various locations in the cities of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Deputies contacted 14 off-road vehicles and cited 12 operators for various violations related to illegal off-roading. One stolen vehicle was also recovered during the operation. Two motorcycles were towed for being unregistered.
Off-Road saturation patrol will continue throughout the year to help combat the problem of off-road vehicles.
As a reminder, riding off-road vehicles is restricted within the County of Riverside and the communities patrolled by the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station. The Riverside County Ordinance, local City Ordinances and the California Vehicle Code prohibit the riding of off-road vehicles on public streets, rights-of-way or county property and private property (without the written consent of the landowner).
