Details:
During the dates of 01/25/2020 and 01/29/2020, an armed robbery series occurred at three separate locations; 7-11, AM-PM and Chevron, within the city of Moreno Valley. The suspect entered these establishments armed with a shotgun and demanded money. From the onset, the Moreno Valley Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team assumed the investigation. During the next few weeks, deputies utilized several investigative techniques; including the Moreno Valley citywide camera system to develop investigative leads. Through the diligent work of deputies assigned to the case, as well as the assistance of the public, a suspect, Francisco Martinez, was identified. On 03/27/2020, at 6:57 AM, Martinez was located in the 23000 block of Sunnymead Blvd., in the city of Moreno Valley. Items linking Martinez to the armed robbery series were recovered, and Martinez was arrested and booked at Robert Presley Detention Center.
